Journaling is no doubt an activity you can derive much fun from, provided you are passionate about it. Nevertheless, the desire to write down one’s thoughts is often defeated by certain impediments [among which include hesitation and indecision] you, as an aspiring writer, might be subjected to as you attempt to ‘paint’ the blank sheets with the ink.
The truth is that virtually every good writer that has emerged today, had such problems at one point in time- when they were yet amateurs. But the good thing is that you can overcome this challenge, and also emerge to mastermind a journal that could- who knows- turn out to make a wonderful movie in the not-so-distant future.
Journaling tips
Let me quickly share journaling tips [that will help you commence your writing as quickly as possible] with you.
Don’t leave the thought stuck in your head. A common mistake that aspiring writers do make, is keeping a particular line of thoughts in their heads without making any move to put such thoughts into writing- so, how do you overcome this?- Just start writing, any way… get your pen out and scribble some words on the notepad. You can go about your daily routine with your notepad and pen tucked in your wallet.
Keep Writing! Consistency is the key that would eventually unlock your journaling skill; so don’t you stop reeling out the words; 'keep the pen bleeding’. As you do this; you make a habit of writing, and then you are on your way to becoming a pro.
Be reflective: Well, you have started writing and you are consistent at it but for you not to get bored by your own writing, you have got to be creative about how you compose your words. As such, you have to be reflective; don’t just rush into writing, take some time to reflect on the direction you wish to flow, and stay organized as you put the thoughts into writing.
That would be about it for now...hope you stay passionate.
